Nuxt reads all Vue files within this directory and automatically creates the Application Router for web page navigation based on them.<\/p>\n<p>The <code class=\"code css-9z42f9\" data-renderer-mark=\"true\">index.vue<\/code> file inside the Pages folder, represents the start page of a VUE.js project and renders by default the local component with the contained content such as the predefined headlines and links and the logo.<\/p>\n<p data-renderer-start-pos=\"5804\">As soon as we create a Vue component within the Pages directory, Nuxt automatically defines the associated route so that the newly defined Vue component is accessible via the URL …\/name_of_the_component.<\/p>\n<p data-renderer-start-pos=\"6025\">In the <code class=\"code css-9z42f9\" data-renderer-mark=\"true\"> <\/code> sektion all CSS Styles are defined. In Nuxt, the CSS rules defined in the main component are inherited as expected by all child elements that use this layout and do not override it with their own CSS rules. Basically it is not a good style and also not recommended to use globally defined CSS styles, except for layout components like columns, default fonts, size definitions etc.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Plugins\"><\/span>Plugins<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Plugins directory contains all JavaScript plugins that should be operational before the Vue Route instance is instantiated. Imagine having to set all that up for your project, get it working, and then maintain it over time. The Nuxt project developers have been doing this since October 2016, tuning the entire configuration to provide the best optimization and performance for all Vue applications.<\/p>\n<p data-renderer-start-pos=\"4163\">Nuxt takes care of all that so you can focus on what’s important: building your web application.<\/p>\n<p>Each directory contains a <a class=\"sc-gGBfsJ ezSIMS\" title=\"http:\/\/Readme.md\" href=\"http:\/\/readme.md\/\" data-renderer-mark=\"true\">Readme.md<\/a> file, which explains the basic function. If the functionalities intended via a directory are not required within a project, the entire directory can be removed.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Assets\"><\/span>Assets<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The assets directory contains all uncompiled assets like the SASS files, images or fonts. This is the same directory that we are already familiar with from classic Vue.js client projects.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Components\"><\/span>Components<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Components directory is the place for all Vue.js components.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Layout\"><\/span>Layout<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><p”>The Layout Directory provides everything necessary for the look and feel of the web pages. Here, for example, a default layout and another layout without sidebar can be defined.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Middleware\"><\/span>Middleware<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Middleware directory contains the middleware that can be used to define custom functionality that is operational even before a single page or a defined group of web pages is rendered.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pages\"><\/span>Pages<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Pages directory contains the actual application along with the Views and Routes. Nuxt reads all Vue files within this directory and automatically creates the Application Router for web page navigation based on them.<\/p>\n<p>The <code class=\"code css-9z42f9\" data-renderer-mark=\"true\">index.vue<\/code> file inside the Pages folder, represents the start page of a VUE.js project and renders by default the local component with the contained content such as the predefined headlines and links and the logo.<\/p>\n<p data-renderer-start-pos=\"5804\">As soon as we create a Vue component within the Pages directory, Nuxt automatically defines the associated route so that the newly defined Vue component is accessible via the URL …\/name_of_the_component.<\/p>\n<p data-renderer-start-pos=\"6025\">In the <code class=\"code css-9z42f9\" data-renderer-mark=\"true\"> <\/code> sektion all CSS Styles are defined. In Nuxt, the CSS rules defined in the main component are inherited as expected by all child elements that use this layout and do not override it with their own CSS rules. Basically it is not a good style and also not recommended to use globally defined CSS styles, except for layout components like columns, default fonts, size definitions etc.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Plugins\"><\/span>Plugins<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Plugins directory contains all JavaScript plugins that should be operational before the Vue Route instance is instantiated.
